Nationals Senator Matt Canavan says energy prices have gone up 80 per cent in New South Wales following the closure of the Liddell power station.

“We will not have a manufacturing industry left if we do not turn around here and invest again in

reliable forms of power that are not weather dependent,” Mr Canavan told Sky News host Paul Murray.
