The boss of the U.K.’s most extensive motorway services provider has warned of the challenge ahead for grid capacity as more and more British motorists switch to electric vehicles.
“By 2040, we will need ten times as many chargers to meet the projected increased demand. By 2030 E.V. charging will require twelve times as much energy as we currently have, so engagement from Government and the National Grid to help the industry address the challenges faced is vital.”

Everyone knew this years ago and still there are no significant energy infrastructure projects like nuclear plants being built. Solar and wind aren’t going to be enough to meet the needs
