The Institute of Public Affairs John Storey says the Government has been in a “long honeymoon” with byelections following MP Alan Tudge’s resignation.

“It’s one of the holdouts in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, so it’s got to be vulnerable,” he told Sky News host Rita Panahi.

“I think when people are paying their bills, they’re likely to start actually blaming the government for that because of … the closing down of energy projects and failing to meet that commitment to reduce prices by $275 a year.”
