Shadow Finance Minister Jane Hume says after the ninth consecutive interest rate rise from the Reserve Bank of Australia, they are “as high as they were” ten years ago “under Julia Gillard”.

“800,000 Australian households are going to switch from a fixed rate to a variable rate mortgage this year,” she told Sky News Australia.

“Those households will only feel more pain because of the increase in cost of living- groceries and energy bills going through the roof.”

Good old labour aye? Who voted for these fools?

Never ever Labor... they just messed up. Austerity !

My simple advice - If you have a mortgage, look at the repayment now and double it. If you cant afford it, get out now! Otherwise HODL. 😜

But not as high as they were under Hawke/Keating
