Only covered a warranted 88k miles from new backed up by a wonderful comprehensive folder full of service history detailing not only regular maintenance but also a recent full gearbox rebuild, new clutch and flywheel .

As you would imagine taking all the above into account it drives without fault and is an absolute pleasure on the road.

Talesofanalfa The E36 was a low point in the history of BMW. Survival rates for all variants are very low - they just fell apart in front of you once they were out of warranty. £17k for one is insane.

I have mine 8 years now, and it’s back from a full underside refresh last month. Great cars.

I drove a load when they were £5-6k 10 years ago, they were getting tatty even back then. I ended up buying an e46 M3 instead. Which is the issue they have - they don't have wide arches or any special bodywork, so they don't have the visual appeal.
