The Motley Fool’s Scott Phillips says Bitcoin is well and truly in the mainstream, after Tesla pledged to accept the cryptocurrency as payment in the future. The electric car manufacturer, led by billionaire Elon Musk, also announced it purchased almost $2 billion AUD of the currency which caused the price to rise significantly.
“The long-term Bitcoin bulls will see this as yet another sign of Bitcoin’s arrival in corporate America and therefore the corporate world,” Mr Phillips told Sky News. “The true believers are already there.
