The federal and Ontario governments are each chipping in more than $250 million to mass produce electric vehicles -- and the batteries that power them -- at Ford Motor Co.'s plant in Oakville, Ont.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced the joint investment this morning, calling it an important step in building the next generation of Canada's auto industry.

The premier spoke at the Oakville plant with representatives of the motor company for the announcement. The Oakville plant employs 3,400 Ford workers and Dias has said retooling the plant to produce electric vehicles will save 3,000 of those jobs.

The amount of money being borrowed right now by fed/prov gov is shocking! Canada will never dig its way out from underneath this mountain of debt. My questions: 1) Who are the lenders? 2) What are the interest rates? 3) Are terms over 5 years or under?

*Hundreds of millions....on the backs of taxpayers, not the Feds or Province.

Is fordnation using the fed. money for education for this?

🤔 Seems fishy. Don't trust Liberals.
