Funding has been provided to Auchengray Church Centre and Lesmahagow Community Council as part of the Renewable Energy Fund which gives grants to projects from renewable energy developments within the South Lanarkshire boundary.

Auchengray Church Centre Trust in Carnwath received £57,858 from Black Law Windfarm, which is 42 per cent of its total project value of £136,616. Auchengray Church Centre Trust is an established charity which has two objectives – to provide a community church and a recreational community facility. The funds will allow the community council to redevelop and enhance the existing play area within the council owned McKirdy Park, which will promote healthy leisure time activities.
