A recent study found that climate change is expanding salmon habitat into the Arctic, but the new fish aren’t exactly welcome in Canada.

“I think it was 2019 where we have seen a big jump,” he said. “I think we had at least 300 salmon brought into the Hunters and Trappers Committee.” Graphs show a correlation between the number of salmon caught in the western Canadian Arctic and relatively warm ocean conditions in the Chukchi and Beaufort seas .
