Dunleavy: staff still working to understand what Cook Inlet gas development legislation will meanANCHORAGE, Alaska - Ahead of an Anchorage energy conference, Gov. Mike Dunleavy said his staff is still working to understand the impact of recently passed energy legislation in light of“We’re going to take a look at what else was passed or what was left out to see what we need to do in the near future, what we need to get ready for next year,” Dunleavy said.
Opponents of the bill were concerned there was no guarantee a lower royalty rate would lead to more production. The governor was joined by Alberta Premier Danielle Smith at the energy conference, who talked about the province leader’s goal of being carbon neutral by 2050.
