Tragedy struck on Friday at lmawa town, Kura Local Government area of Kano State along Zaria – Kano highway as a moving truck lost control and killed no fewer than 14 worshippers.
The Kano Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, CC Ibrahim Abdullahi who confirmed the incident to newsmen, said several other persons also sustained varying degrees of injuries. The Sector Commander said efforts were ongoing to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding the crash. In another development, a building under construction at Dorayi Babba, Gwale Local Government area of Kano collapsed, killing the owner, his child and construction workers.
