The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced Friday the issue fails to comply with federal safety guidelines and could cause more collision injuries. According to the recall, in certain instances a seat belt warning light might not turn on and the chime isn’t loud enough. According to the NHTSA, the upcoming recall will focus on ignition and seat belt status. When the issue is fixed, the driver will be notified if the car is turned on and the driver’s seat belt is not fastened.Tesla said it will deploy a software update over the internet starting in June.
