With the cost of living crisis still ongoing, there are plenty of ways to cut back and save money as you can apply for a handy grant to improve your home’s energy rating

The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland administers the grants and a private company manages the work for you. These companies are called One Stop Shops, and the scheme is also known as the One Stop Shop Service.

How much are the grants? The biggest grant amount is €8,000. The amount you get for each upgrade can also depend on the type of property you have. For example, the grant you get to insulate a detached house is more than the grant you get to insulate an apartment. You can see the full table of grants for each energy upgrade here.
