Social media rumours that Electric Picnic is cancelled have been squashed as organisers have confirmed that it will be going ahead.
In previous years the line-up was released in March and last year a full line-up wasn’t announced until late April. However, in December 2022, 10 months before its 2023 festival, 10 artists were announced including headliners Billie Eilish and Fred Again.With the festival taking place two weeks earlier than usual on the third weekend of August, some ticket holders are disappointed that no artists have yet been announced.
Stradbally is currently the biggest of five Designated Accommodation Centres in Ireland that provides 90 days of accommodation for new arrivals from Ukraine. It has a maximum capacity of 950 people in its “winter-ready accommodation” and has been taking in refugees since last December.
