A Katy daycare has been in limbo for several days after CenterPoint Energy partially fixed its generators and hasn’t sent a lineman to finish the job.

At least 200 families have been impacted as Kids ‘R’ Kids Learning Academy of Cinco Ranch East closed its doors on July 8 after millions lost power due to Hurricane Beryl., the address shows green “Energized with Potential Localized Outages.”

Even worse, the owner said live wires are dangling near the building, making it a hazard to the public. The daycare owner said most commercial buildings may be experiencing the same problem but are listed that their power restored on the CenterPoint Energy map. On Sunday, the director of the daycare said another lineman came out to work on the building but did half of the work before taking a break and then leaving, stating that he needed more help but never gave a time on when he would be back.
