SINGAPORE – A new investor forum focused on the sustainable economy will discuss more than 60 proposals from project developers and entrepreneurs, said Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong.

President Tharman added that energy demand is going to grow very significantly in South-east Asia in the coming years, noting: “So we’re going to have to meet the needs of growing economies, but in a way that involves increasingly the use of cleaner energies.”– started in May 2022 with the aim of contributing to cooperation, prosperity and peace through various initiatives, including sustainability, economic growth and competitiveness, among member states.

US Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo will be in Singapore from June 3 to June 6 to attend the forum and participate in an IPEF ministerial meeting that will take stock of the progress made under the three concluded agreements and outline a series of next steps.
