Business are receiving thousands of pounds through the £25 million Nelson Town Deal for new equipment, clean energy systems and building improvements.
The Nelson Town Deal is one of 101 town deals in the UK. It includes Pendle Council representatives along with MP Andrew Stephenson and business, public sector and community figures. Its chairman is Stephen Barnes. The grants scheme focuses on three priority areas of machinery, energy efficiency or carbon reduction work, and business improvements.
Elsewhere, six jobs will be created and three retained at Aspire UK Interiors, in Southfield Street, Nelson, with support for a hot oil press and wrapping machine, worth £17,000.
