While electricity costs are still not back to what they were in pre-pandemic times, they are steadily falling and households could be seeing the savings very soon

Figures released by the Central Statistics Office show that wholesale electricity prices were down 40% last month over the past year.

This comes as Tanaiste Micheal Martin has said that he is pushing for another round of energy credits in Budget 2025. He said the Government will consider another round of energy credits in this year’s budget, but said it would not be “in the same order” as the last payment.
