The parents of a Form 5 student who drank at least 14 shots of paint thinner mixed with an energy drink at their SMK Pingan-Pingan school hostel in Pitas on Tuesday are prayingthat he will come out of coma soon.

“Drinking paint thinner…what was he thinking? It’s just so harmful,” Martin Laissu, 44, a rubber tapper, told Daily Express, Saturday. Martin said his eldest son was in critical condition when admitted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital II Intensive Care Unit on Thursday night.
