🔴Council tenants on heat networks face huge energy bills after Government support falls short

A Westminster Council resident, who did not want to be named, said: “The bill increases are really worrying, especially as the council don’t seem to be looking at any solutions to resolve it.”

In Leicester, around 2,500 tenants were notified earlier this year that their district heating bill would be increased by 70 per cent, prompting an outcry from residents. “I would struggle to find the money to do that. It would mean cutting back on other things. I’m not really sure what really because there’s not a lot of room for maneouver.
