San Diego Gas and Electric crews restored power for several hundred customers in rural communities left in the dark on Thanksgiving.
About 300 customers in Boulevard, Jacumba and Live Oak Springs had their service running just before 4 p.m. after their power went out around 8:45 a.m., according to the utility. Another outage affecting more than 400 customers in Julian, Santa Ysabel and Morettis Junction began around noon. Most of them had their power restored hours later but about 38 were expected to have their service returned by 7 p.m., according to SDG&E’s outage map.Elsewhere, the utility said around 60 customers in Campo, Dulzura and Potrero remained without electricity due to a foreign object crossing power. The estimated restoration there was 6 p.m.
