Climate change protestors were arrested at TPC River Highlands Protesters stormed the 18th green at TPC River Highlands in Connecticut on Sunday, disrupting the final round of the Travelers Championship. The incident happened just as the final group of Scottie Scheffler, Tom Kim and Akshay Bhatia arrived on the green and marked their balls. Kim was facing a 10-foot putt for birdie and a potential play-off with Scheffler, who had a one-shot lead over Kim.

Police quickly rushed in to arrest the six protestors Smoke bombs were set off near the green Protestors wore T-shirts which read: ‘NO GOLF ON A DEAD PLANET.’ After play resumed, Kim sank his putt to force a play-off against Scheffler. But the world No.1 held his nerve to beat Kim and secure his sixth win on the PGA Tour this year. ‘It kind of took like the meaning of the putt kind of a way for a second,’ Kim said after the incident.
