A well-insulated attic can you save you money on heating and cooling bills. Plus, you’ll be more comfortable, and you’ll be doing right by the environment. There’s also this to consider: CPS Energy will pay you to upgrade your insulation. Who’s eligible? Any residential customer of the city-owned utility. How does it work? The idea is to encourage you to put in attic insulation that’s better than what you have now.

Your rebate depends on how big a space you’re insulating and whether you do the work yourself or hire a contractor. If you go with a professional, CPS will pay you 35 cents per square foot of newly installed insulation. If you do it yourself, they’ll pay 25 cents per square foot.
