FEW DAYS LEFT: The UK Government has warned prepayment meter customers they only have until June 30 to claim the cash

UK residents on prepayment meters only have a few days left to claim their £400 energy bill vouchers, the government has warned, with more than £100 million still unclaimed. The Energy Bills Support Scheme saw most households in England, Scotland and Wales receiving a £400 discount applied automatically to their bills in six instalments of £66/67 over the winter.

However, concerns arose that the method would not help prepayment meter customers, and many have not claimed their £400, with the deadline falling on June 3o.
