eVTOL aircraft take off vertically like helicopters, but they run on electric motors as opposed to traditional combustion engines.

The airline announced this week it's partnering with Brazil-based Eve Air Mobility, an aircraft company, to launch electric commuter flights around the Bay Area.Eve's aircraft, which are considered electric vertical takeoff and landing flights, are 100% electric and can hold up to four passengers.
