MANILA, Philippines—The Philippine Army is launching a key offensive against climate change by launching a reforestation project with the help of the group Tarlac Heritage Foundation.Giant bamboo seedlings are among the mainstays of this greening program. Leading this effort are Col. Charlemagne Batayola, chief of staff of the Armor Division; Maj. Gen. Facundo Palafox IV, division commander; and Isabel Cojuangco Suntay, founder of Tarlac Heritage Division.
