The Liddell Power Station’s shutdown was “sad” but “inevitable”, says Nationals Leader David Littleproud.

“It’s probably the third or fourth oldest coal-fired power station of its kind in the world – so it was always going to happen,” he told Sky News Australia.

“But what we’re saying is that there’s opportunities for the Hunter moving into the future in AGL and making a commitment around renewable energy here.”
