The European Union, EU, is seeking advice from the Nigerian Shippers Council, NSC, on areas to invest part of the 150 billion Euros earmarked for the Lagos-Abidjan corridor, in Nigerian ports.
He highlighted some of the challenges along the Lagos-Abidjan corridor to include the numerous checkpoints that hinder smooth transport between Benin and Nigeria. He also explained that the EU was working on a one-stop border post between Benin and Nigeria to streamline the passage of goods. He said the project which is in partnership with the French Development Agency and the European Investment Bank, is nearing its official launch.
