An Austin Energy crew has returned home from a 2,000 mile trip to the Navajo Nation in Arizona, where they helped bring power to homes there for the first time.

"I kind of felt like a superhero a little bit, you know?" Jodie said.

He and a crew of 15 other Austin Energy employees visited rural Window Rock, Arizona where they installed ten miles of electrical lines and 78 electrical poles-- bringing power to nine homes for the first time. "When we go assist our neighbors, it builds a brotherhood, it builds a family," Bradford said. "They're always willing to help us out when we're in need, we help them out when they're in need.""These guys get to get to go out there, they get to dig and set poles, string wire," Bradford said. "So the training and skills that they get associated with these efforts is invaluable.
