An international energy expert and Chief Executive of ENACCESS, Vivien Barnier, has blamed inefficiency and repetitive efforts for Nigeria's power sector woes. The energy access advocate, Barnier, disclosed this in an interview with DAILY POST on Thursday during an Open Source In Energy Access Symposium in Abuja. He noted that the Nigerian government must invest adequately and wisely in technologies and knowledge sharing to tackle the country's power sector challenges.
'There is a lot of inefficiency in the sector, so many actors, not only in Nigeria, work towards the same goals and make repetitive efforts. 'I believe that people should work together and share knowledge to help address the challenges in the sector. 'Nigeria should be open and willing to try new technologies. Technology may not be cheap today, but it will be after a couple of years.
