Porsche will launch its first rear-wheel-drive crossover as the sports car brand expands the electric Macan lineup with two new variants in late 2024.
A 480-amp pulse inverter helps control the electric motor, delivering power and torque. For greater efficiency, silicon carbide is used as the semiconductor material in the pulse inverter. The latest variants come standard with adaptive air suspension, including electronic damping control. Optional rear-axle steering tweaks the chassis for increased performance and comfort.The Macan is the second electric Porsche, after the Taycan, and represents the first major update of the nameplate since 2014.
