A new report claimed that BMW is about to bring the 6-Series back into production. Around the same time, it said BMW will sunset the controversial XM hybrid SUV. However, a BMW official has refuted these claims. Update 6/27: BMW has thrown cold water on the Autonews report, which cited dealer sources and analysts, about the return of the 6 Series in 2026 and the potential discontinuation of the XM around the same time.
