UK households are set to receive a significant financial boost of up to £3,082 starting from Monday, April 1.

which means there's a total package of £3,082 on offer to boost households for the next 12 months from April, reports YorkshireLive. It means that the two cuts, worth an average of £450 each, will see a £900 boost on average this year once April rolls around. Of course, the numbers are only based on average usage, so if you use twice as much as average, your bill will be £3,380 per year but you'll save £476 per year thanks to the cut.

Speaking about the Universal Credit boost, the government said: "In 2024/25, around 5.5 million Universal Credit families are forecast to benefit from uprating with an average annual gain for a family on Universal Credit estimated to be £470 , however gains will vary depending on the elements received by different family types."
