First-ever speedcubing competition in P.E.I. draws large crowd | SaltWire #rubikscube #charlottetownST. JOHN'S, N.L. — Environment Minister Bernard Davis will make a decision Tuesday about World Energy GH2’s proposed wind energy project which, if approved, would see more than 300 wind turbines erected on the Port au Port Peninsula and in the Codroy Valley area, plus transmission lines and a hydrogen-ammonia plant in Stephenville.
World Energy GH2 submitted its environmental impact statement last summer. At the end of October, Davis told the company the province needed more information. An environmental impact statement amendment was submitted by World Energy GH2 at the end of January. The province accepted public comments on that amendment up until March 20.Davis’s department told SaltWire on Monday that he will make one of two choices: either find World Energy GH2's amendment acceptable and release the project subject to terms and conditions, or require World Energy GH2 to submit another EIS amendment to its environmental impact statement.
