A 73-year-old grandmother died after being hit by an electric bicycle or e-bike in Marikina. According to the victim's relative, she was not immediately taken to the hospital after the incident. CCTV footage captured the moment when Luzviminda Bisares was crossing the road and was hit by the e-bike, causing her to fall. The victim did not survive in the hospital. The rider of the e-bike claimed that he did not notice the grandmother carrying an umbrella. However, CCTV footage showed that he was using his cellphone while driving. The victim's granddaughter expressed disbelief over the rider's negligence.
