Facelifted BMW iX prototype spied at the Nurburgring. Performance M60 version will become M70 to fit in with other new BMWs. Revised face includes new LED light units, a glowing grille, and a more prominent lower bumper. A year from now BMW will begin unleashing its Neue Klasse generation of cars, starting with the iX3 electric SUV. And to make sure the new compact EV doesn’t upstage its pricier big brother, the iX is getting a little nip and tuck around the same time.
We think it’s just the camouflage tape on the bottom portion of the light that makes them look narrower. The fact that BMW is sticking with one-piece light units rather than going the split-light route as used by every other high-priced BMW makes the iX an anomaly in the automaker's lineup.
