He was rescued by firefighters this morning and then taken to hospital

A man was rescued by firefighters after an electric box collapsed on him at a building site in Nottingham. Emergency services were called to the incident at the site in Addington Road, Radford, at around 11.25am this morning .

Nottinghamshire Police said the man was taken to hospital with injuries which are not currently believed to be life-threatening or life-altering. The man was taken by an ambulance after being freed by fire crews, Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said. Photos from the the scene show two ambulances and fire service vehicles parked in Addington Road and the adjoining Hartley Road. Sergeant Rebecca Thomas said: “Police attended after it was reported a man was injured after an electric box collapsed at a building site in Addington Road, Radford.“A man was taken to hospital with injuries which are not currently believed to be life threatening or life altering.

A NFRS spokesperson said: "We were called to a rescue an individual from a structural collapse on Addington Road, Radford. One male casualty was conveyed by road ambulance to hospital, after crews from Stockhill and Highfields extricated him. "His injuries are not currently believed to be life threatening or life altering. We left the scene by 12:30pm."
