Car manufacturers the world over have said many things about their powertrain strategies. Broadly, many insist that the end of pure internal combustion is nigh and, after a quick dalliance with various takes on hybridization, everything will be electric . Audi’s messaging has been broadly along those lines, saying it will only introduce new combustion-powered cars up until 2026 followed by 'the gradual phasing out of production of vehicles with combustion engines by 2033.
