The company announces a 10% decrease in its standard unit rate for both electricity and gas from July 1.
This will see annual reductions of around €149 for electricity customers, €109 for gas customers and €254 for dual-fuel customers.This is the second time this year that the energy provider has reduced its charges. A 12.8% reduction in electricity prices and a 11.5% drop in gas prices came into effect in February after being announced in December.
They also reduced its prices in September last year by up to 12%, making this the third reduction within 12 months.“We have worked hard over the last couple of years to support our customers and we remain committed to passing on reductions as soon as it is possible to do so,” said Klair Neenan, Managing Director of SSE Airtricity.“As always, we encourage any customer experiencing difficulty with their bills to contact us in confidence – we will work with them to find a solution.
