There’s also this to consider: CPS Energy will pay you to upgrade your insulation. Who’s eligible? Any residential customer of the city-owned utility. How does it work? The idea is to encourage you to put in attic insulation that’s better than what you have now.

Your rebate depends on how big a space you’re insulating and whether you do the work yourself or hire a contractor.
