An updated report from the maker of luxury electric vehicles says 968 jobs will be cut in Arizona, down from the initial report of 1,296 jobs

The electric car manufacturer with a facility in Casa Grande intends to reduce its workforce by 6%. About 60 salaried jobs in Arizona will be affected.CASA GRANDE, Ariz. — Lucid Motors, the electric car manufacturer with a plant in Casa Grande, is planning to reduce its workforce by 6%.

Lucid estimates spending up to $25 million in severance payments and employee benefits to complete the reduction plan. CEO Peter Rawlinson told employees in an email that the plan will not impact Lucid's hourly manufacturing and logistics workforce.
