Ahead of the wildfire season, Puget Sound Energy is putting some plans in place to prevent a fire from sparking.

“In the event that we had some weather show up and we’ve proactively shut off power, when it’s safe to do so, we will begin inspecting and repairing any place we’ve had damage," said Murphy. “Who knew that in a rainforest, we could be under fire evacuation notices and we were right there right on the edge," said Mark Klein, the owner of Espresso Chalet.

“We’re ready to go the minute the power goes out, and so we do have generators ready and on standby," said Klein.
