ABC Chair Ita Buttrose has quashed moves to create a 'climate crisis' advisory group for taxpayer-funded staff to develop ways to fight climate change.

Sky News host Chris Kenny says the taxpayer-funded ABC "is not left enough" according to some staffers, after it was revealed employee-activists are seeking to develop a staff 'brains trust' to develop ways to deal with the 'climate crisis'.

"The ABC seems to be very biased when it comes to climate change issues and pushing a green-left agenda," Mr Kenny said. ABC Chair Ita Buttrose maintains the proposed advisory group is "not going to happen" because the ABC leadership team and the managing director "have thought otherwise". WTF this is clickbait.

Shorter Ita: Yeah, back in the day, me and Kerry, blah blah, cricket, summer holidays, what climate change, blah, blah.

This is private life seeping into the taxpayer-funded workplace. They can do it on their own time, on their own dime, their own personal email account, paying for their own WI-Fi connection in their own home. They should keep their political causes to themselves.

Thank goodness for that.

About time!

That's good because lately she seems to be asleep at the wheel.. she must be close to 80yo

Science facts aren't left or right, that's its called science

Well done Ita🙂

Let's follow the logic.... Believing in FACTS & SCIENCE = 'the left' therefore LIES & ANTI-SCIENCE = 'the right' ? Fortunately most Aussies do not buy into Chris 🐎💩 auspol

Wow ... can't even imagine how they could get even more to the left ... but it would be fun to watch were it not my money they were wasting ...

Thank you Ita. I wonder if someone with this mindset should be employed at all by our impartial ABC?

Quashing the myth that abc is left wing

All this left versus right crap is not helping anyone. Anytime someone has an opinion, it has to be labelled left or right, automatically throwing the baby out with the bath water on any topic. 95% of us are somewhere in the middle whether we realise it or not!

Good move Ita. I hope this is the first of many tough decisions to transform the ABC back to a clear thinking, non extremist, fair & balanced public channel(s).

fake news abc

Yeah! That makes sense, they did a reported survey of ABC staff several years ago, and found most vote Greens.

About time

Poor Ita so sad🙄

and the left wonders why they are called the left wing ABC.....I could go on but I can't be bothered

Of course she has - she's an LNP stooge.

Sky News too far to the right. Yank owned who cares what they think.

Wise move Ita After selling your soul to the Devil (ABC)

I'd prefer climate scam arsonists get life in prison....

Climate change has aways been real, but your kidding yourself if you think you can control it.

Finally come out of hiding.

You have seen the stats that 84% of Australians think climate change is real and want something done about it, yes? Fucking clowns.
