A family who fled the bushfires in northern New South Wales have brought the ashes of their home to NSW Parliament in anger over a lack of action by politicians.
"This is what the ecological and climate emergency looks like," Mr Crowe's partner told the crowd as he tipped out a bucket full of ashes onto the ground.
Seriously, did the government start the fires? It happens every year just in a different place and under different circumstances.
If now is not the time to talk about climate change then the primer of NSW Australia is the wrong person to be running the state, time is running out and these bush fires have just contributed to the global damage that has already been caused by similar events ie saddam Hussein
Sad they lost their house but even if Australia was carbon negative it wouldn't have changed the weather
Australia is in drought and everything is dry. It's not the first time and it wont be the last. Stop blaming and start being realistic. Ash Wednesday, Black September, Heathcote and Menia fires. Australia emits fuck all Co2 so stop with the climate change crap
She’s very good at lying...that’s why she’s ended up beating the LNP boys club to the top job...
Bush fires new to Australia?
Fined for littering Arrested for protesting
Brillant
Australia is prone to bushfires and has been for centuries. Stop blaming climate change. This is the work of poor government planning by not back burning during winter.
'Stop making kids Anxious' Scott said. Do you think they should be anxious now ScottMorrisonMP auspol
This won’t solve anything.
Sue their incompetent asses. Most of this pain & suffering could be avoided by the removal of Tree Preservation Orders & getting rid of the repulsive Greens who do nothingbut suck the life out of Australians with their greater than though attitude. TheGreens🤮🤮🤮
Now the insurance companies will blame the government
According to the latest climate sensationalism they should have dropped those ashes on Menzies doorstep for the appropriate action to have taken effect
Three primary issues - 1. Winter backburns to be reinstated, 2. Reduced allowance for people living in high risk bushfire zones 3. Go back to findings from Ash Wednesday fires in 1983 - none of fire controls for houses in fire zones ever applied
Should take them to the Greens party offices, see what they have to say about it, they will say its your fault
So through winter did they clear around their houses and trim trees back from house? Did they contact their local RFS for getting burns done?
How is it the governments fault. I recall the sever bushfires in Victoria, the gov wasn’t boned then.
They need to stop blaming others for themselves choosing to live near the bush and if they had no idea that bush can light up then no fault but their own ignorance it is.
Did someone in government start the fire?
So you want to live in amongst the trees, and somehow you want to blame the govt for your house burning down?
Yeah I complain about my loses in life , but I don’t seek compensation in politics or the new cult science But I hope you get housed soon and rebuild, I wish I could help your family you still have treasure !
Thankfully we have democratic elections..
How exactly are politicians meant to help?
