The department of mineral resources and energy has approved mining rights for its Limpopo coking and thermal coal project

Shares in MC Mining, which is headed by industry veteran David Brown, jumped the most in nearly seven months on Tuesday after it said it had been given the go-ahead for its Generaal coking and thermal coal project in Limpopo.

The Generaal project, together with the Chapudi and Mopane projects, comprise the company’s longer-term Greater Soutpansberg Project in the Soutpansberg coalfield.
