PETALING JAYA: Johor Darul Ta’zim’s Adam Nor Azlin will put aside his sentiments for Selangor in the Malaysia Cup semi-finals.

The 23-year-old centreback, who was with the Red Giants for two seasons before joining the Super League champions in 2018, said his allegiance now lies with the Southern Tigers.

“I’ve had some great times with Selangor but that’s all in the past. I play for JDT now and I want them to enter the final. Adam is expected to shadow the likes of Ifedayo Olusegun and Khyril Muhymeen Zambri in the first leg at the Larkin Stadium in Johor Baru today.Selangor coach B. Sathianathan and his centreback Taylor Regan have ramped up the clash by playing mind games before the match but Adam is unperturbed.

JDT however have the upper hand against Selangor. In the Super League, Benjamin Mora’s side beat them 4-2 in Shah Alam and 3-2 in Larkin.“They are not that organised and will buckle under pressure. So, we will be taking advantage of that.”
