President Duterte has ordered concerned agencies to look for other sources of oil to sustain the country’s stable energy supply, Presidential spokesman Salvador Panelo said Monday.

The President issued the directive in a bid to mitigate the impact of the recent attacks on Saudi Arabia’s two oil refineries on the country.

US West Texas Intermediate crude futures were at $58.71 a barrel, up 62 cents, or 1.07 percent, after earlier hitting a high of $59.39. Pilipinas Shell will reportedly implement an increase of P2.35 per liter of gasoline, P1.80 for diesel, and P1.75 for kerosene. Pero Gazz, include Seaoil, Total, Phoenix Petroleum, Chevron , Clean Fuel, and PTT Philippines will also implement same price adjustments on gasoline and diesel.

In the Senate hearing, Abad assured that the country is well supplied with oil; based on the inventory levels that the oil companies have been mandated to maintain.

Add the oil from plastic. We have a Pinoy scientist doing that. Hehe. Perhaps add funds and help them? 🤔

Better yet is to end the oil addiction Mr. President and be energy independent. Free us from the troubles of the Middle East & shift us away from oil. Find full electric or hybrid options now & have the will to implement it.
