Energy Minister AngusTaylorMP says state governments with “reckless' emission reduction targets are “asking for trouble” and blackouts. KennyReport auspol

Energy Minister Angus Taylor says states with “reckless targets” to reduce emissions are “asking for trouble” and blackouts. Speaking to Sky News Mr Taylor said his focus is on initiatives that put downward pressure on power prices that have risen due to “atrocious policies in the past.

” The Energy minister also argues excessive emission reduction and renewable energy targets are "central" to Australia's high energy prices. On Monday the minister announced the Clean Energy Guide, which is focused on energy efficiency for farmers. He said it’s a “big opportunity” to see lower energy prices and emissions through tips for small businesses and farmers.

AngusTaylorMP And this government is asking for trouble based on half a million people across the country protesting against the lack of action on climate

AngusTaylorMP Why does SkyNews' commentary peddle conspiracy theories and misinformation in a vicious war on science? They're certainly not making money out of it: last I checked, 'After Dark' clocked 0.6% of potential audience. Propaganda is the only word that comes to mind. auspol

LyleShelton AngusTaylorMP if one sweaty day in January is the trade-off for emission reductions, most fair dinkum aussies would go for it

AngusTaylorMP Here’s a tip Angus, try doing something like holding back federal funding if states don’t increase gas exploration, or build required base load power - the states will only respond once “their” funding is cut

AngusTaylorMP Hey Angus I live in NSW & we have regular blackouts. Damn that coalfired power station. 😏

AngusTaylorMP Then why doesn’t he do more to incorporate renewables?

AngusTaylorMP yet those countries on 100% renewables are in a much better place. how does that work?

AngusTaylorMP Trying to decide whether Angus is more corrupt than stupid, or is it the other way around? 🤔

AngusTaylorMP 😂😂😂And your ridiculous policies have sent our prices skyrocketing...

AngusTaylorMP He should be investigated for corruption!

AngusTaylorMP Angus knows that failing coal clunkers and climate disasters cause blackouts. But he's a puppet for the fossil fuel trillionaires so he's not allowed to say that!

AngusTaylorMP What is reckless is a minister selling a lie while he collects 'donations' from the fossil fuel industry! corruption OrganisedCrime

AngusTaylorMP If you want the truth DONT watch SKY News its IPA LNP propaganda Federal Broadcasting

AngusTaylorMP Dumbhead! After the Global Strike on Friday, are his Ears Painted On?!!!

AngusTaylorMP Angus Taylor should just use the renewable energy shit coming from his mouth to power Australia

AngusTaylorMP The Energy Minister’s reckless statement betrays a reckless disregard for the country’s future and that of our children. Ironically, it also displays a reckless disregard for planning and implementing our energy future. The Minister is living in the past, unable to do his job.

AngusTaylorMP Can Angus get our water and $80 million back?

AngusTaylorMP MP's who would rather favour coal mining over farmers really haven't the right to accuse others of recklessness. But it's the farmers that keep voting these jokers in

AngusTaylorMP I call BS!

AngusTaylorMP Because of this...

AngusTaylorMP SkyNews, home of the LNPLiars

AngusTaylorMP It's obvious Morrison has made sure that no one smarter than him is in the Cabinet, but giving this bloke a ministry is taking the mickey out of all of us!!

AngusTaylorMP If the federal government did anything about switching to clean energy the states wouldn’t need to lead the way. Any blackouts that occur are entirely due to inaction by Angus and the rest of the government.

AngusTaylorMP Why when the minister has been proven to be a liar time & time again do you give him air time

AngusTaylorMP fantastic, great move well done angus

AngusTaylorMP AEMO reliability is 99.98%, and of those 0.02% of outages 95% are not caused by generation issues. Angus Taylor is a liar and a useless idiot. auspol

AngusTaylorMP This needs to be backed up with facts not rhetoric.

AngusTaylorMP It’s the coal fired plants that fail and cause blackouts.

AngusTaylorMP Auspol

AngusTaylorMP So reckless of them for wanting to avoid catastrophic global temperature increases. Yes, asking for trouble if we actually did something to stop that. Well done Angus.

AngusTaylorMP climatemoron

AngusTaylorMP And what have done last 7 years sweet fuck all about power prices

AngusTaylorMP If you’re looking for an example? Check Venezuela!

AngusTaylorMP AngusTaylorMP get rid of the AEMO to start with...! AEMO is aiding & abetting Intermittent Folly. Meanwhile the 4 strategic Aluminium Smelters are skating on thin ice...LoadShedding INDUSTRY CraigKellyMP mattjcan

AngusTaylorMP Looks like Parliament house is in trouble with Canberra reaching 100% in renewables. Maybe turning the lights off might improve the public's overall experience?
