The briefing said coal exports from Australia to Vietnam had more than doubled since the 2017-18 financial year, up from 4,286,390 tonnes or approximately $750 million in value.

Since our gas and coal (along with the US) are being imported by many large countries I wonder who are critical? The Scandinavians have plenty of hydropower so they can afford to be snobby. Will they sell some to India and China?
