Business needs to be environmentally sustainable in order to thrive in the current global market, according to the founder of French venture capital firm, INCO, Nicolas Hazard.

The comments come as thousands of people held rallies around the world, urging governments and businesses to do more to combat climate change. Mr Hazard told Sky News it is incumbent upon businesses to innovate and become more environmentally friendly in order to meet the demand of their clients and workers. He said "more and more" Australian corporations "are willing to transform their business model" in order to become environmentally sustainable.
